At about 10:50 (local time) on 17 April 2013 a large explosion occurred at a fertilizer plant in the town of West in Texas. This blog will collate information as it emerges about this accident that may point towards the causes & learning points. This is because inquiries take a long time and keeping track of them can be difficult. Also, some of the early information disappears from the public domain over time.
